We love having visitors from afar. It's always something special when people travel many kilometers to start or continue their 996 journey with us. Today we had the pleasure of welcoming Kilian to Stuttgart – a visit that was equally special for us and for him.
Kilian lives between Hamburg and Mallorca and became aware of us through our popular Black Forest video. About a year and a half ago, he fulfilled his dream and bought a black 996.1 Cabriolet. Since then, the car has lived between two worlds: spring and summer in Germany, autumn and winter on the sunny island of Mallorca.
Kilian arrived yesterday; we personally picked him up from the airport and enjoyed a relaxing dinner together. Today was the highlight: the handover and first test drive with his now completely rebuilt vehicle. His excitement was written all over his face.
What we have achieved together:
• Engine conversion from 3.4 to 3.9 liters – a true powerhouse with significantly more torque and driving pleasure.
• Werk96 Sportbrake – more braking performance for more dynamics.
• Short bevel gear – ensures noticeably more dynamic gear ratios: 3rd feels like 2nd, 4th like 3rd – more punch, more driving pleasure.
• Werk96 Shortshifter – more direct, more precise, more emotional.
But that was just the beginning. It's already clear: the journey continues. He's now enjoying almost two weeks with his girlfriend in southern Italy, then he'll join us for the 996 Mountain Run with the Drivers Club – and after that, the car will stay with us. Then the next upgrade will begin:
• Werk96 chassis, individually tailored to his driving style.
• Power kit including complete sports exhaust system for sound & performance.
• Sports seats for more lateral support and long-distance comfort.
The transformation of his vehicle is in full swing. And what's best for us: when customers like Kilian get into their car, drive off, come back – and get out with a broad smile that says: “That was the best decision.”
