What a weekend! Our first visit to Spa-Francorchamps for the legendary 992 Endurance Cup and the fantastic 996 Only gathering was a real highlight for us at Werk 96. Three days full of goosebump moments, great people, exciting races, and above all: a community that lives and breathes the 996.
Pure racing atmosphere
In the heart of the Belgian Ardennes, on one of the world's most historic racetracks, the Michelin 992 Endurance Cup 12-hour race took place. Simultaneously, the Porsche Historic Classic Challenge was also underway. And as a special highlight, around 70 to 80 Porsche 996s from all over Europe gathered for the 996 Only meeting. Germany, Belgium, the Netherlands, England, Switzerland – the scene is thriving!
Plant 96 right in the middle
We started with four cars, met up with 996 enthusiasts from all over Europe, laughed, ate, exchanged ideas – and of course handed out plenty of goodie bags and shirts. It was simply incredible to see all these 996 icons side by side in one parking lot.
This included a behind-the-scenes look: pit lane tours, insights into race control, walks along the start/finish straight – including a culinary pampering program in the Porsche VIP lounge. It doesn't get any better than this.
A special highlight: Our vehicle
One of our Werk 96 vehicles even received an award – selected as one of the best cars in the area and honored with a prize. A moment that fills us with pride and shows that our work and our attention to detail are appreciated.
Looking ahead: The International Drivers Club
What began in Spa will continue to grow: Our newly founded 996 International Drivers Club is gaining momentum. Following the Spa weekend, the first members from Belgium, the Netherlands, Greece, England, and Switzerland have already joined. The community is thriving, connecting, and expanding.
2026, here we come!
We'll be back again in 2026. With even more lead time, even more energy, even more ideas. And who knows: maybe even with one or two program items that we get to help organize ourselves. We're really looking forward to it and hope to see you there again – or to meet you for the first time.
