On September 1, 2024, the time had finally come: the 996 Drivers Club was launched – and what a kick-off it was! In glorious weather, on gorgeous roads, and with a crew that lives and breathes the passion for the 996 model, the very first joint outing took place in Überlingen on the beautiful Lake Constance.
The route? Curvy, scenic, and full of driving pleasure. The atmosphere? Incredibly warm. From the very first moment, there was a special energy in the air – the feeling of being with like-minded people. People who don't just drive a car, but share an attitude: a love of the 996, of driving culture, of pure driving.
Whether coupe, convertible, or Targa, whether in stock condition or lovingly refined – it was an impressive sight to see how diverse and individual our vehicles and their owners are. The first encounter was characterized by openness, joy, and genuine exchange. Ideas were shared, experiences exchanged, plans forged – and, of course, breakfast together was a must. A true get-together among friends that immediately felt familiar.
This trip was more than just a pleasant experience—it was the official beginning of a community dedicated to the 996 with complete enthusiasm. A circle of enthusiasts that continues to grow and provides a platform for all those who have discovered the uniqueness of this model—and never want to let go.
